An independent and creative hospitality brand is seeking an experienced Maitre'D to lead front-of-house operations at their newest opening in DC. This modern, 280-seat dining destination features a large bar, outdoor terrace, and private dining rooms, offering a relaxed yet upscale experience with a focus on sustainability and exceptional guest service. The Maitre'D will be the welcoming face of the restaurant, ensuring memorable guest experiences, efficient service flow, and embodying the restaurant’s commitment to hospitality excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Experience: Greet guests warmly, manage reservations and seating flow, and resolve guest concerns with professionalism.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and train host staff to ensure seamless front-door operations and exceptional service.
- Reservations & Flow Management: Optimize reservation systems (e.g., OpenTable/Resy) to balance table turnover and guest satisfaction.
- Coordination & Communication: Act as the communication hub between FOH and BOH, ensuring smooth service during regular dining and events.
- Cleanliness & Organization: Maintain a clean, organized host station and entrance area at all times.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a Maitre'D or Lead Host in a high-volume, upscale restaurant.
- Proficiency with reservation platforms (OpenTable, Resy, etc.).
- Strong leadership, communication, and multitasking abilities.
- Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences in a hospitality-driven environment.
Compensation & Benefits:
